How it WorksProcess
Now that there are four moderators, instead of just me, I have decided to go with what I will call the "Too Many Popes System" --We will be a bit more exclusive than in the past, and decisions will be left entirely to the judgment of the individual mods. Thus members will be at the mercy of whichever moderator decides to accept or reject his/her work.
In addition, moderators will identify themselves from now on: If they accept a work they will leave their mark in the "Artist's Comments" box. If they reject a work they will identify themselves in the rejection note. In this way we will all know who is doing what and members will be free to appeal to other mods if they feel strongly enough about getting a piece into the club gallery.
Another major change here will be regular weeding and housekeeping. Long inactive members will be queried as to whether they still wish to be members, and, if they do, they will have to contribute. Once a month the moderators will compile a list of works they would like to see removed from the gallery, and if three out of four of us can agree, the piece will be removed. No individual notices will be sent regarding the removal of these pieces, but a thumbnail gallery of them will be posted and announced a few days prior to removal. Any piece accepted to the gallery will be exempt from the weeding process for thirty days, after which it becomes fair game.
Finally, anyone wishing to comment on or complain about these changes can note us.
TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS CLUB
1.) You must be a creator of surreal/imaginative work, not macabre/horror (these classifications are subject to the interpretation of the moderator(s)). Submissions can be any medium of visual artwork (traditional,digital,etc.).
2.) To join, simply note the club specifically requesting admission. We will then reply to your request and let you know if your work is deemed suitable for the club.
3.) Members have to keep a Watch on the club journal for updates and upcoming contests, etc.
TO SUBMIT WORK
1.) Submissions must be sent as links in notes requesting that they be submitted. Please submit one work per note.
2.) Exceptional surreal works by non-members will be considered on a case-by-case basis, if they arrive as links in a note with the subject line "non-member submission".
3.) Remember, above all, to keep dreaming.

Contest themes... I really think that it's fun for people to suggest one word themes in a journal and then for someone (you) to either choose one or to pick one at random. Everyone would then interpret that word as they see it. It's a thought
